Here is a great use of a myopic UI + Google Maps. We needed 1 type of user to have a limited record set, field set and operations while in the field in addition it had to be designed for use on an Ipad with cellular connectivity.
We have referred to this as the “Map App”, and as far as the end user is concern it functions just as an app would.
The user is able to update and create multiple types of records both online and offline. Another cool thing is that this app is able to capture the user’s current location, and launch google maps or apple maps to navigate to the next location of the user’s choice.
An added bonus, when a user updates/creates a record a new chatter post is logged and if the conditions are right then a Drawloop document is automatically created and emailed to the customer.
